It was comforting to have worked with Pearls of Portugal this summer (2022) for the breathtaking vineyard our family purchased in Valenca do Douro. They are a great real estate resource, very efficient and accommodating, and appreciate how they connected us with their network of experts in law, the Golden Visa, and for building & design. I would like to acknowledge Frederik who we had initially connected with, also for assigning us to Jana who patiently helped with the search and addressed all of our concerns. But last but not the least, Helena who was our fantastic guide, representative and translator. Due to the pandemic, we needed to do virtual viewings and understand the whole process in our absence, and Helena was there all throughout to assist us, patiently explaining the steps e.g. how things work in Portugal, etc. , provided a video of the property, coordinated with the sellers agent, which made our decision-making much easier. She was not only our agent but someone who we have developed a friendship with. We enjoyed our time with her in Portugal not only as we closed the deal in person, but also after, as we excitedly discussed our future plans for the vineyard that we now very happily and proudly call our own!! We look forward to working with her/them again in the future and highly recommend them to anyone considering Portugal!

Thank you to Helena, Frederik and the rest of the Pearls team for making the process of purchasing an apartment in Portugal easy and seamless. They were a valuable resource in assisting us navigate the sometimes confusing and daunting task of purchasing property in a foreign country. All the professionals they recommended from the lawyers to the contractors were all very pleasant and genuinely eager to help us in any way. I am extremely happy with the service Frederik and his team provided. I think my buying process was one of the fastest in their company history but they were happy to work together at the pace I wanted to go. They gave me all the help and advice I needed, from finding listings, scheduling visits, information on bank account, to taxes. I would highly recommend Pearls of Portugal to anyone based on our wonderful experience with them from start to finish and even after buying the property. This is a company that in my opinion cares about its clients and is in it for the long haul. Helena and Jana were fantastic and extremely thorough, patient, and guided us in the right directions throughout the process. The whole process was extremely smooth - they are very responsive and our purchase was hassle free. They also went above and beyond and helped us with the search for architects, setting up utilities, and searches for property management firms after we bought the property.From all the online searches that Jana did to target different areas that we were interested in to then updating the search as we narrowed down the houses for our in person visits the process was seamless. Helena was incredible during our in person visit when we went with her to the locations to see the houses. She patiently translated our questions to the local real estate agents. When we chose the property she was incredibly efficient when co-ordinating with the real estate agent, our lawyer, and architect. She went out of the way to make us feel comfortable. She had so many helpful recommendations that were great from restaurants to wines to make our trip fun. I would absolutely recommend them to everyone who is looking to purchase property in Portugal!

We found their company referred on a forum For foreigners wanted to invest in Portugal. Lays was our main point of contact and she is very responsive and answered all of our questions on video and email and text. A lot of people don’t have the same communicative style and we were very grateful for her. Not being in the country ourselves, it was very helpful to work with Lays on securing property in Portugal. Once we did get there and had our list of properties to look at, Lays showed us around for three days. The very last one was the winner and thanks to her referral to lawyers everything got done and processed by the end of the year Before the Golden visa rules change. Highly recommended.
